My client was wasting time and money looking for makeup scattered throughout her vanity. After one quick session we converted her junk drawer into her new makeup haven. After sorting through her makeup, I wiped out the drawer and lined it with pretty shelf liner. Then I used velcro on the bottom of the white containers to keep them in place. Paying for a storage unit can be expensive. If you need one it should be functional and organized so you can find what you are looking for. For this project I built shelving and stored everything that my client wanted to keep in clear labeled bins, now it functions more like a garage which is perfect for his lifestyle. When I reorganized this kitchen I transitioned a lower cabinet into a baking and treats cabinet. I moved all of the snack foods into the new pantry area and used clear glass containers that my client already owned to store her baking items and special treats like candy and gum. I love how clean and tidy it looks! To read more about this project, click here.
Before I got started in this living room the space was filled with too much clutter and furniture. When you entered this living room from the front door, you walked right into a large sectional. I rearranged the furniture and decluttered the bookcases, coffee table, and entertainment center. To read more about this project, click here.
Because of my background in insurance claims and the law, I am well versed in which documents my clients should hang on to and those they can let go of. I brought this project home with me, I created piles on my living room floor for each category (child support, home inventory, taxes, custody, etc..) Then I decided which categories made sense to be in the same binder, 3-hole punched everything and filed them into binders with labeled tabs and an index on the front cover. The key to an organized closet is "looking" organized. You want your closet to have a continuous clean and clutter free look, just like your favorite store or boutique. Recently I organized and edited my client's master closet, he is a busy professional who wanted me to make the changes while he was at work, talk about trust! I filled up 5 garbage bags with items that looked worn, out of date, or needed to be replaced, and organized them by type and color. To read more about this project, click here.
If you struggle with putting together an outfit everyday or feel like you have nothing to wear it is time to organize your closet. My client could barely make it inside of this closet because it had become a dumping zone for everything in her house. We worked together to sort things, try things on, and determine what she needed and didn't need. As we organized her closet I focused on how and why her closet got this way. It is so important for me to help my clients reflect and conquer any mental roadblocks before we visualize what their organized spaces should look like. She now has functional wardrobe, everything is organized by color and sleeve length on matching velvet hangers. To read more about this project, click here.
It is obvious from this picture that this guest room is not serving it's purpose. We worked hard to turn this messy room into a place where her kids could relax when they come home from college. We were able to sort through all of the clutter and organize the room so it can function the way it is supposed to. To read more about this project, click here.
Hiring a Professional Organizer to help organize your child's room can pay for itself. I helped this client organize her daughter's room, we worked together to get rid of old toys and organize the things she wanted to keep in a more manageable way. She now has a bin for memorabilia, a storage space for all of her supplies, a bin for toys, and all of her clothes are put away in her dresser which is a huge plus! My client was also thrilled to have the project completed so quickly and painlessly without any fighting or arguments. To read more about this project, click here.
Hiring a Professional Organizer can help you get over your fears of entertaining. For this project I involved the entire family as an organizer and a project manager. We spent the day moving unwanted furniture out to the garage so it could be sold, junk to the garbage, we rearranged the furniture, and added personal touches. Since we completed this project they couldn't be happier, they have hosted family parties and entertained friends. To read more about this project, click here.
