15 years ago I lost 65 pounds and have since kept the weight off. People are constantly asking me, “So how did you do it?” Before I answer that let’s go back a few years.  I had a weight problem since I was 5 years old. I was one of those kids who loved junk food but it certainly did not love me. My parents tried to help. They even sent me to fat camp. I lost weight just to gain it back when I came home. Once I discovered the snack bar in high school things went from bad to worse. I yo-yo dieted for years and tried just about every quick fix available. I always lost weight, but it just came right back.  It wasn’t until I decided to make a lifestyle change that things started to turn around. I changed my eating habits and began to exercise. I learned that it wasn’t about losing weight by starving yourself or buying someone else’s food. It’s about changing the way you look at food by knowing what you’re eating and how it affects your body.It’s about acknowledging that there are emotional issues involved that need to be addressed along with the food changes in order to succeed at permanent weight loss.  Trust me when I tell you I know how hard this journey can be. It’s not easy and it takes time. But in the end, the Your Weight Your Life program will help you look better, feel better, and know that you have the skills needed to keep the weight off for life!
