Fourth Of July is such a fun holiday to spend with family and friends. Usually involving an outdoor setting, like a BBQ or picnic, easy set-up and clean-up is a must for this day because you wouldn’t want to miss the fireworks now would you?!

It’s Wednesday which means we’ve made it half way through the week, rejoice! My schedule is getting wild at Kuzak’s Closet. It seems all of my clients have decided to move at the same time. The phone has also been ringing off the hook with new clients hoping to get organized before the end of the year. Being busy is a good problem to have so I can’t complain. Life is good!
Life is also good with a little treat at the end of the day, and this Almond Joy Bark hits the spot. It tastes just like the real deal!

Sorry I didn’t post this recipe last week like I promised, it was a busy holiday at out house. I hope you all had a relaxing 4th of July with your friends and family. Because we move around so often the 4th is typically a holiday that we spend alone so I’m thankful that we were able to spend the weekend with some of the friends that we’ve made. The highlight was definitely a hike from Muir Woods to Stinson Beach, my legs are still sore!
I tried this recipe for Rhubarb crumble bars for my husband’s birthday party and they were a hit. I modified a recipe from my buddy Ina, (I am more obsessed with her these days than ever). She made her bars with raspberry jam but I used my mom’s homemade rhubarb jam and they turned out great. It’s a super simple recipe with just a handful of ingredients that I am almost guarantee you have in your pantry right now.

I don’t mean to tempt you from cheating on your new year’s diet but I’m going to assume that you already have! Let’s be honest, it’s been a whole week since the new year! It’s hard for me to diet at this time of year because the chilly temps make me crave comfort foods. The only meal I struggle with is lunch (if I get to take one) because I typically let my assistant Matt pick where we go which isn’t always healthy. This week we have are working on a huge organizing project at a home in the area so we have been to all of the neighborhood hotspots, in-n-out burger, wendy’s, subway, and togo’s.
