With summer season rapidly upon us, hosting close friends and family for a dinner and drinks is a must-do summer activity! Consider highlighting the evening with a fabulous cocktail bar. Whether it be a sit-down soiree or a casual BBQ, a curated bar area can really set the tone for a fun evening.

December was another great month for Kuzak’s Closet and I am looking forward to popping open a bottle of champagne, saying thank you to 2013 and toasting a fantastic New Year! This month was busier than anticipated and today’s post is a recap of some of my December projects; a speaking engagement, pictures from my visit home to Michigan, Holiday Decor Week featuring guest bloggers, an answer to a readers’ organizing question, two estate sales, the launch of our Meet the Team page and more!
Here’s to a festive, productive and organized New Year! Continue Reading »

Where did November go? Thanksgiving has passed and we’re plowing full-force into the December holiday season. Orange and brown hues have disappeared from the shelves at my local stores and been replaced with an explosion of red’s and green’s. I love it!
Today’s post is a review of the super busy month of November. This month has really shown the diversity of the projects that my team at Kuzak’s Closet are tackling; great closet and garage organization projects, a full house relocation and un-pack, estate inventory, several estate sales and liquidations, DIY events, a book release and so much more!!
December is looking pretty packed but I am taking some time to visit family, which will be fantastic and I am looking forward to a break. We managed to squeeze two estate sales into December so be on the lookout for those updates and I am bringing back the Holiday Decor Week from last year that was so much fun. I love to see everyone’s different decorations and hear about the holiday traditions of my family and friends. Continue Reading »

My friend and fellow style blogger Monica at Living in Vogue and I were invited to a fun store in downtown Palo Alto called West Elm to help celebrate their 1 year anniversary. We were tasked with styling a table using items from their Heritage and Murray collections and items from our own DIY table decorations. After visiting their store and exploring their collections we were inspired to create a rustic cabin table setting. I decided to make these DIY Chalk Acorn Placeholders. The beauty of these acorns is that they will be the most unique item at your holiday table and they are super easy to make! Continue Reading »

I recently started using Instagram and I am loving it! It is such a fun outlet to share what goes on during my day (as exciting or boring as it may be) with my friends. I have especially enjoyed sharing pictures from recent organizing projects because not all of them end up on the blog. Harper also makes her cameo on Instagram pretty often and I think she likes having the spotlight.

You would think I would get my fill of drama working as a professional organizer because of all of the clutter and family dynamics that I work with but no. When it comes time to relax I tune right into the drama that is The Real Housewives.
I am addicted to all of the Real Housewives shows, I just cannot get enough of their spray tans, fabulous handbags, adorable children, and don’t forget the DRAMA! I have been a fan from the beginning, back with the O.C. Housewives were the only Real Housewives. Now the brand follows women from all over the country.
Right now 3 of my favorite seasons are on at the same time, New York, O.C., and New Jersey, I hate to say it but I am kind of on overload! I love the Beverly Hills and Atlanta women but I have had to say no to watching the D.C. Housewives (which is now canceled) and the Miami Housewives (which was too boring to watch anyway) because I would be watching new episodes 365 days a year.
Vicki and Gretchen are my favorite girls from the O.C., they are both funny and over the top in different ways. Peggy is the new girl and her over the top lifestyle is just ridiculous to me, I can’t wait for her character to develop over the next few seasons, is it possible the she and her husband are really that rich? I am sad the season is wrapping up and I heard the finale is going to be dramatic.
The New York women are leaving for Morocco this week and from the previews it looks like the next 3 episodes are going to be insane. Ramona has many meltdowns and all of the women are fighting. Jill Zarin is definitely my favorite New York gal, I love her opinions and her sense of style. Ramona is my least favorite, you would think after watching herself on the show for the last 4 or 5 seasons she would learn to stop saying inappropriate things to people.
New Jersey is just getting started and it is Juicy Juicy Juicy! Past seasons were filled with Manzo family drama but this season the tables have turned and it looks like the feud between Teresa and her sister in law is going keep sizzling. This is probably my favorite of all of the seasons, I love all of the family connections, the over the top outfits, and the table flipping. Caroline Manzo is my hero, I love her kids and how she balances being nurturing and tough.
I wonder if they will attempt to film a season of the Silicon Valley or the San Francisco Housewives? We have some really powerful women out here so it would be interested to see who they would choose to be on the show roster.
Do you love the housewives as much as I do? What is your favorite season? Who is your favorite character?

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We were lucky enough to have Chris’ parents in town for the holiday which was nice. We shopped, had some great meals together, and celebrated Christmas at our church and with friends.
Before we went to church on Christmas Eve I took some pictures of Chris and his mom and dad and then we went to Maggiano’s for dinner.
