This weekend I am holding an estate sale at 8714 McCarty Ranch Drive in San Jose at The Villages, a retirement community on the east side of San Jose.  The sale has really beautiful Ethan Allen furniture, lots of cute side tables, like new kitchen and entertaining items, artworks, collectibles, medical equipment, garden and patio, mirrors, electronics, crystal, a washer and dryer, and lots more.

My weekend was consumed with estate sales!  I kicked off my Mountain View sale with a private pre sale on Thursday night and it was a huge hit.  The pre sale was set to start at 5:30 and people started lining up around 3:30, it was crazy!  The neighborhood was really tight-knit so most of the neighbors stopped by too.

I hired 2 new estate sale assistants to work on the project with me, Sutzi and Al.  They both did a fantastic job and handled the chaos really well.  I should have gotten a picture of the three of us together!  Before we opened the doors of the sale we had pizza together, yum yum!

I had Sutzi stationed in the living room, Al in the garage and side yard, Chris at the cashier and I greeted customers at the door and bounced from the family room to the rooms upstairs.  I caught a glimpse of this little boy reading in a chair outside while his mom shopped and I had to snap a picture.  He was so content in the midst of the crowds, it was cute! It’s Estate Sale MANIA at Kuzak’s Closet this week!  Really, total mania!  I have been working really hard with my crew to set up my sale in Mountain View and today I am giving you a photo preview of some of my favorite things.  This sale will take place Saturday and Sunday (April 20th and 21st) from 9am-3pm.  I am also offering a private pre-sale to all of my blog readers, facebook fans, and clients that subscribe to my mailing list on Thursday night from 5:30-7:30pm.

I just wanted to share a peek at what I’m working on this week!  Last week I met with a family that desperately needed to have an estate sale this week and had been stood up by the company that they originally hired.  I told them that I already had a sale scheduled for Friday but I might be able to squeeze in a second sale on Saturday and Sunday.   They gave me a brief run down of the contents of the home over the phone but they forgot to mention what was hiding out in the garage, 2 vintage cars!  Besides for the cars there is a TON of vintage goodies stuffed into the garage and the house, this sale is going to be fantastic!

We started setting up yesterday with a 5 hour organizing session.  I hired 2 new helpers, Sutzi and Al to help me with set up.  Both of them are regular shoppers at my sales but neither one have ever seen a property transform from someone’s home to an estate sale marketplace.  Yesterday’s workday went really well and I am looking forward to finishing the prep today.  Stay tuned to tomorrow’s blog post for a photo preview of what will be available!
