February Stitch Fix

Yesterday was my birthday and one of the treats I received was my February Stitch Fix! I think there are some winners this month but I am counting on your feedback to help me decide!

Jennalynn brought Sprinkles Cupcakes to celebrate in the morning before we went to work.  We had a few minutes to snap pictures of the Stitch Fix looks, there was a pair of jeans in the box but they didn’t fit right (one too many cupcakes!)

If you haven’t heard of Stitch Fix before it is a personal shopping service that provides 5 looks each month based on your style/size/and needs.  I’ve been using it since last fall and I’ve really learned a lot about my own personal style, my body type, and how clothing really look on me.  The items that I “think” are going to be my favorites each month typically are not after I see the photos of myself.   Continue Reading »

My January Stitch Fix

My January Stitch Fix arrived this weekend and I am dying to know what you think of the items they picked for me!  This month I asked for some warm-weather looks for my upcoming vacation to Maui.  If you are new to Stitch Fix, it is an online personal shopping service that helps you find your style.  This is my 4th month using the service. I only have 3 days to decide which items to keep so I really need your feedback!

January Stitch Fix

My assistant Jennalynn helped style my looks today after work and I think there are some keepers.  The first look is a striped maxi dress, something I really want for the beach.  Stitch Fix suggested that I wear it with a colorful cardigan or a jean jacket.  Since I don’t really have a cardigan that would work (mine are all long) we decided to go with a jean jacket and a colorful handbag.  What do you think of this look?My January Stitch Fix arrived this weekend and I am dying to know what you think of the items they picked for me!  This month I asked for some warm-weather looks for my upcoming vacation to Maui.  If you are new to Stitch Fix, it is an online personal shopping service that helps you find your style.  This is my 4th month using the service. My November Stitch Fix

Last night when I got home from work I had my monthly Stitch Fix package waiting for me.  My assistant Jennalynn was with me so she stayed late to help me style the looks to share with all of you.

I’ve been using the personal shopping service called  Stitch Fix for that last 3 months and I’m loving it.  It’s great to have a mystery package with goodies waiting at my doorstep.  Each month I ask for something different.  This month I asked for a few holiday looks and some layering pieces.  There is no commitment to buy anything, let me know if you have any questions about the process!

The first item was a burgundy and black silk top.  Stitch Fix suggested that I wear it with denim and heels or denim, flats, and a cardigan.  Here I am wearing it with denim and heels.  I like the shape of the top, I think it looks better in person than it does on camera.  Chris said I looked like a member of Star Trek, I guess this is the color combo of their uniform.  Who knew?  What do you think?

The Cheap Chica's Guide to Style

About a year and a half ago I was asked to be a guest contributor for the book The Cheap Chica’s Guide to Style: Secrets to Shopping Cheap and Looking Chic by Lilliana Vazquez – and, the book was just released last week! Lilliana has been featured on The TODAY Show, Access Hollywood and The Rachel Ray Show and the book, inspired by her website Cheap Chica’s is a collection of her personal style tips, organization ideas and shopping finds for every budget.

The book is broken into segments: helping you find your personal style (there is a quiz!), how to stay organized, shopping for styles that flatter your body-type and wallet, and where to find the best deals. She even knows the best days to shop for the biggest discounts. I really enjoyed the book because her tips are honest, realistic and I want to highly recommend it. So treat yourself to a copy and give it as a gift to your girlfriends! You can order a copy of the book here.

I was asked to take part in the chapter “Making Cents of Your Closet” and below is a small excerpt from my submission. Enjoy!

Kuzak's Closet Stitch Fix October

My latest Stitch Fix arrived today and I’m so excited to share the looks with you!  If you are new to Stitch Fix, it is an online personal shopping site.  They ask all kinds of questions about your size and style and then ship you 5 items each month.  I’m slowly finding my style with their help.  If you have questions about the process let me know!

This is my second month using the service and I love it.  Last month I shared pictures of each look with you and asked for your feedback.  All of your comments really helped me decide which items to keep and what to send back.

My assistant Jennalynn was working with me on Kuzak’s Closet eBay listings this afternoon when the box arrived so I had her help me style the outfits and take pictures for this post.

Today’s shipment had 3 sweaters, a top, and a necklace.  I’m glad she took pictures of each look for me, it puts the outfits into a different perspective.  I’m really going to need your help deciding which pieces to keep so please let me know what you like and what you don’t!

The first item is a gold peplum top. Stitch Fix told me to style it with colored jeans and heels so that’s what I did.  I’m not sure about this style top for me because of my body type but I like that it is something different. Continue Reading »
