Celebrating 10 years of blog and blogger transformations, a key focus of BlogHer 2014 was social media and how to use it to positively connect in a medium that can sometimes have a dark side. Social media is truly a big part of the future of blogging and business building. It is how we build unique and special connections with our shoppers as well as our blog readers. Thus what can be a messy melting pot of opinions, BlogHer 2014 encourages us all to not forget to use social media to inspire as well. Taking a page from the BlogHer 2014 book, we have rounded up our top ‘tweetable” quotes from conference.

Happy Friday! I know many of your are stuck in a snow/ice storm this weekend so don’t hate me for sharing pics from my recent trip to Hawaii! Hopefully they warm you up!
It was so nice to get away for a week with my husband. My business is non-stop from August through February and I have found that it is nice to catch my breath for a few days and take a rest. We decided to go back to Maui after last year’s trip. It is such a beautiful place and a relatively quick plane ride for us.
Don’t worry about my organizing skills getting rusty, I even organized my closet on vacation! Everything is hung by color and sleeve length, ha! Continue Reading »

Last week I teamed up with friend and style blogger Monica from Living In Vogue to host a party Dressing Up the Holidays at West Elm in Palo Alto. Last year was a wonderful year for Kuzak’s Closet and I have a lot to be thankful for. I exceeded all of my business goals by leaps and bounds and am looking forward to what is headed my way in 2013. Yesterday I had two people contact me about organizing estate sales for them so that is a good start!

We live in Silicon Valley and our winters are pretty mild, we have a few weeks of rain and some chilly nights but even when it cools down the sun still shines and warms us up. After I took my Christmas decorations down in January, I put out my snowmen to keep things looking festive (even though we don’t get snow). I bought this cutie at the Lake Street Emporium in Port Austin while I was visiting my family in Michigan, isn’t he cute? I typically put my snowmen away by the end of February but I struggle with ideas for keeping my house cute between Valentine’s Day and Spring. Do you share in my struggle? Do you have any ideas? Please comment!
