Birthday at Bottega
We celebrated Chris’ birthday over 4th of July weekend with a special lunch at Bottega, Michael Chiarello’s restaurant in Napa. We are lucky to live less than 2 hours away from wine country and I am glad we took advantage of a little day trip to celebrate. Here are some snapshots from the day…

When I called to make the reservation I slipped that we were celebrating a special occasion…
Our first course was a stone fruit salad with fresh ricotta, yum!
Chris had the black truffle riviolo with a 4 minute egg inside for lunch…
I had an 18 hour braised short rib with greens, it fell apart when I cut into it, perfect!
When it comes to dessert we splurged on two (I don’t like to share), the donuts
are fresh made to order and come out warm with 2 tasty dipping sauces.
The donuts served warm…the melt in your mouth!
Chris ordered tiramisu cream puffs with a rich chocolate sauce, wow!

Leaving Napa after a wonderful day together, I can’t wait to go back!
