Wedding week continues!  Today my sister Ashlie Brining from Brining Babies taken all of the work out of bridesmaid dress shopping by offering you her favorite dresses of the season!

Bridesmaid Bonanza
I love a great bridesmaid dress!  It’s such a reflection of the bride’s personality and taste! It has always been one of my favorite parts of attending a wedding.  I love to see what the bride has picked out to wear for her closest friends and family members.  The best part of picking bridesmaid dresses these days is that it is not limited to a bridal store or boutique.  Many mainstream designers have also started to carry bridal collections.  The options are endless! My first pick is a J.Crew dress.  I first saw this dress being showcased on Oprah.  It is absolutely beautiful.  At first glance I was surprised by the gray color, but after looking at it on each of the bridesmaids shown on Oprah the color looked beautiful on everyone. I also love that the dress was personalized by adding straps for some girls who might not feel like a strapless is that comfortable. Carson Kressley said it right when he said the dresses are glamorous, yet “not so bridesmaids-y.

Did you know that The Limited now has a bridal collection?  I was surprised too! This next dress is lovely and it only costs $89.  A perfect solution for a bride who is budget conscious.  The navy blue color is beautiful and would be perfect for a summer wedding.  I love the shorter length of this dress and the bow detail on the neck of this dress.  I also like that this dress is not strapless! So many dresses are strapless these days and many girls do not feel comfortable wearing them-let alone dancing the night away in them!
This next dress is a show-stopper.  It’s from Ann Taylor’s bridal collection.  Ann Taylor has a great selection of gowns for both a bride and her girls! I selected this next dress because of the length and the movement that the silk material would have.  The soft coral color is gorgeous and would be a great choice for a bride who is having a more formal event. The shirred bust and crossover detail along the top would also allow for the bridesmaids to breath during the day’s events!
The last dress that I have selected is more of a traditional bridesmaid dress.  The dress is by The Dessy Group, and from what I have read is a newer designer. I like the freshness that Dessy seems to put in her designs.  The dress that I liked has a cap sleeve and is tea-length.  The bride also has some flexibility in the colors of the dress, as well as the sash color.  I picked a latte colored dress with an espresso sash.  I thought it would be perfect for a fall wedding paired with beautiful flowers!  This dress would also be perfect for the bride who wanted to give her ladies flexibility in their dress options.  The Dessy Group’s website is full of endless options for coordinating other dresses.  So if you had 3 bridesmaids and each wanted to wear a different style, they would be a perfect match and compliment for each other!

Thanks for the great pictures. I love that the J. Crew dress can be worn as a party dress long after a wedding. I think some of the others can too.
