I was reflecting on my favorite memories of 2009 and I wanted to share my favorites with you.
Ringing in 2009 in Michigan. Ashlie, Mark, Chris, Stephanie, Drew, and I went out to dinner one year ago at the Garfield Inn in Port Austin. After dinner we went to a dive bar on the way home and had more good times.
Spending time with family & friends for my 28th birthday. I was able to go home for a long weekend over my birthday to celebrate with my family. When I came back to Chicago, I had a great night out with my “Chicago family” the Peifer’s. We went to Hot Chocolate in Bucktown for dinner after we hit up Pinky Nails for mani-pedi’s.
Trip to Milwaukee with Nick & Kelly. In March my brother Nick and his fiance met Chris and I in Milwaukee Wisconsin for a weekend get-a-way. We toured the
Miller Brewing Company and visited all of Milwaukee’s hot spots. We had lots of laughs and too many cocktails!
My nieces turned 1. I have twin neices, Audrey & Lilly and they darling. It was wonderful to celebrate their first birthdays, time flies! I am holding Audrey and Chris is holding Lilly in the picture. You can read more about them on my sister’s blog www.briningbabies.blogspot.com.
My 10 year class reunion! I had so much fun catching up with all of my best buds, I can’t believe it has already been 10 years.

California Road Trip. Before we knew we were moving to California, Chris and I planned a road trip up the coast of California, from San Diego to Sonoma. We had such a great time, we loved
Big Sur and wine country. Now we are lucky enough to live a few hours from both! To see more pictures from our trip click on this link:

Spencer Buckley Memorial Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament at
Verona Hills also benefited Steve Kuzak, Chris’s brother who passed away in 2001. We had such a great time. When there are fun people, good music, and great food it is hard not too!
Boyne City Weekend. Before the summer was over, my family planned a trip to
Boyne Mountain. Chris had to work so I went by myself. I shopped with my mom and sister during the day and we hung around the condo at night. The last night we were there we rode the chairlift and had cocktails on top of the hill, it was very memorable.
Grandma Orr’s 85th Birthday. My Grandma is my buddy. I was so glad to make it home for her 85th birthday. My mom, brother and I took her out to lunch in Lexington and watched the freighters.
Cross Country Road Trip. We decided to drive to California from Chicago when we moved in October. It was easier for the dog and a gradual transition for us. It took us 5 days and less than $800, stopping in Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, and Nevada. I would recommend doing this if you ever have the chance. To see more pictures from our trip click on this link:

My mom’s trip to California. My mom flew out to help me unpack and she was only going to stay for 5 days but she ended up staying for 12. We had fun getting the house decorated and discovering all of the little towns near my house. We took day trips to Sausalito and Half Moon Bay. It was great to have her all to myself.
Pebble Beach. When my in-laws were here over the holidays we took them to Pebble Beach for the day. The weather was perfect! It is truly God’s masterpiece.
