Google-Ween

Friday afternoon Google held their annual Halloween party and costume contest called Google-Ween.  I went as Chris’ guest a few years ago and was able to make it to the party again this year. Today’s post is short on words but long on pictures, enjoy!
Chris’ team decided to enter into the group competition as TSA agents, pretty fitting as their days jobs are in IT Audit.  They wore matching blue shirts, black pants, and printed badges online to look more authentic.  Some of them really got into character and were “patting” down fellow Googlers during the day, it was quite hysterical.

As you know I am all about food and Google did not disappoint at this event.  They had a nacho bar, soft pretzels, carmel corn, funnel cake, and endless beer.

The IT Audit TSA Team…

During the costume competition J.P. reenacted a TSA pat down on stage and the crowd went wild. If you ask me they had the competition in the bag!

This group dressed in Tetris puzzle pieces that spelled Google (they won the group costume competition).  It was pretty genius…

Gangnam Style…

The crowd…

Mitt Romney…

E.T. …

The Facebook Stock…

Zoolander (the winner of the individual costume competition)…

A Google Bus (Google provides free transportation throughout the Bay Area for all of their employees)…
There was a haunted house, a zip line, and face painting available.  Chris’ co-worker Christina decided to get a black eye.  She looked pretty tough!  We thought it would be funny to try to reenact how it might have happened.

Ganesh told the face painter he didn’t care what they put on his face and he came out with a Mike Tyson tattoo.  The tattoo paired with his mustache really helps him look like an authentic TSA agent…

We hung out for a while after the competition and enjoyed the beer and the music.

Lots of spooky decorations…

This scary person on stilts was taking a break near the cemetery so we decided to go over for a few photos.  Ganesh got right into his TSA character and started a pat down…

I really think Ganesh should quit his day job as an auditor and become an actor, he is such a ham!  I’m glad I could make it to Google-Ween again this year.  I hope you enjoyed the pictures (sorry there are so many).  Let me know what your favorite costume was!
