If I wasn’t an organizer I would be…

Organizing is more than a hobby for me, it is my full time job.  It’s not luck that I have clients calling or emailing me, it is the result of hard work.  For any of you who own your own business, whether it is full or part time, you know how much of a commitment it is.  Not only a time commitment but a personal commitment, there are good days and bad but for me I enjoy working with all of my clients and helping people get organized.  I am very blessed and thankful to be able to do this full time!

This week I had a consultation and the client asked me what my real job was.  I know he was just curious as to how I could do what I do full time and he didn’t mean to insult me but if I had a dollar for every time someone asked me that I would be rich!  A lot of people don’t realize that you can make a living doing what you love to do.  You just have to have a goal and work towards it.  I am lucky that doing what I do doesn’t involve much overhead, just natural abilities. After I left the consultation I thought to myself what I would do if I wasn’t an organizer.  All of these dreams involve me inheriting lots of money, becoming famous, or more athletically inclined, ha!

Bakery Owner
I wouldn’t want to do all of the baking, I would just want to run the shop and
see customers every morning.  Working on the bakery sale last summer
was so fun for me and I think running one would be such a fun experience.

Professional Athlete
If I was blessed with more athletic abilities I would love to be a professional athlete of some sort,
I am amazed with their physical bodies and endurance.  Plus, I love stadium food so if I were a
pro athlete I could get my fill of soft pretzels, hot dogs, and frozen cokes.

Own a Children’s Boutique
My sister and I always talked about owning a children’s boutique and book store.  If we lived in the same town and happened to have $100,000 to throw into a business if would be awesome!
Image Consultant for Business
I am a stickler for details and I am great at offering constructive criticism to
businesses about their image and feel.  Whether it is the customer service,
the interiors, the cleanliness, or the location I have an opinion about it.
Police Officer/Detective
After watching the Police Women of Broward Country I fell in love with enforcing the law.
With my legal background and experience being pulled over by police officers to know what to do, ha!
Talk Show Host
When Kelly Rippa wants to leave the Regis & Kelly show I would love to take her place.
I know I need to become famous before then and lose 40 pounds but I could make it work!
Bartender
I love a good bar and grill and I often think how fun it would be to own one.  Nothing big or fancy, just a small friendly pub. I could be the hostess to the entire neighborhood and have fun theme nights revolving around the sporting events and popular TV shows.  My bar would definitely have purse
hooks at every table and martini nights for the Real Housewives season premieres!

Funny, I've often thought that I'd like to take Meredith Vierra's spot on the Today show. The clothes, the travel, all of the interesting topics, and done by 10am(that might not be true).
Now, I'd just have to become famous and an early bird, and I'd be in!

Oh, and I totally get the questions about whether that is REALLY your job? I think our professions just look a little too fun & easy to be real work!
    Ahhhh….if they only knew!

Boy Mandy, You have a lot of different ones. If I could choose something else to be I would choose to be a Make Up Artist. I always wanted to move out to California and go to Make Up Artisty school. A Co-Host of the Today Show would also be fun and a great way to see the world. I could be on The View too because I'm pretty opinionated. ;)

“when Kelly Ripa wants” — ha!
Actually, these are a lot of the same ones I would choose (def not police officer though). I'm surprised you didn't say “event planner”. I had you totally pegged for that :)
