T.G.I.F! It has been another wild and crazy week and I am ready for the weekend! Yesterday was another jam packed day and I thought I would share with all of you what a typical day in my life looks like. Here it goes…
7:30am: Chris leaves for work and I get out of bed to start another day. Harper is snoring still so I have to wake her up, what a lazy bum.
8am: Check my email and respond to clients and friends. Then put the finishing touches on my blog post for the day and click publish. Yesterday I posted an interview with my husband.
9:30am: Yesterday I went to a networking event and had a personal shopping client so I spent a little more time than usual getting ready. Typically I wear wind pants and a Kuzak’s Closet t-shirt or hoodie but I try to dress more professional when I network and I actually look forward to wearing lipstick and heels. Lately my breakfast of champions has been the TLC Strawberry Cereal Bar. Have you ever tried it? It get my metabolism going and I love the graham crust and the fact that I can eat it in the car.
9:45: My first stop of the day is Goodwill, one of my favorite places. I usually drop off items for my clients daily. My client from the day before ended at 6pm so I waited until the next morning to drop her things off. The guys at the Sunnyvale location know me by name because I am there almost every day. They never ask me why I am there so often, I wonder if they are curious about my never ending donations?
10am: I drop Harper off at the Pooch Hotel for doggie daycare. Lately she has had a bit of cabin fever because I have been so busy. Whoever invented doggie daycare is a genius, the Pooch Hotel is owned by a female business owner who got her start in Chicago. Her facilities are spotlessly clean and Harper is always excited to go. She loves this place and I love that she is exhausted when I pick her up!
10:45am: Arrive at my SASSY Networking event hosted by my friend Chrystal Bougon from Bliss Connection. Her business office inside Sedusa Studios which is a pole dancing studio in Campbell and she hosts the monthly SASSY meeting in the main dance room. It is always a fun afternoon!
The speakers at Yesterday’s meeting talked about marketing and online visibility for your business and how to write your book. I learned a lot and got more motivated to start writing my book, I think it will be based on my real-life experiences as a Professional Organizer. I love this picture of Chrystal introducing the speaker, it looks like she is on stage in a typical meeting space until you look closely and see the stripper poles, ribbons, and mirrors. Gotta love it!
1:45pm: Leave SASSY and head over to Nordstrom in San Jose to have a personal shopping session with one of my clients. Last week we sorted through and organized her closet and make a list of items she needed to buy. It was great to help her find the right pieces for her everyday life and her upcoming vacation.
Just before our personal shopping session started I stopped for a hazelnut caramel skinny latte at Nordstom, I really needed a caffeine boost!
6:15pm: Chris gets home and pours us a glass of wine from a winery he just visited in Monterey while on an off-site trip for work. We eat dinner and discuss our days…
7pm: For dessert I decide it would be a really good idea to eat some of the Halloween Candy we got in a goody bag at a party last weekend. This was actually a bad idea, I ended up eating 7 pieces!!!
7:15pm: Skinny Mr. Chris only eats 1 Laffy Taffy and reads me the jokes, I forgot Laffy Taffy had jokes. Q: What kind of plant do you put in a cake A: Flower…
7:45pm: After we clean up I decide to put on my new favorite purchase, the most comfortable pair of slippers. I put my feet up and start thinking of blog ideas for the next day and start to implement all of the things I learned about online visibility at the SASSY meeting. Hopefully there is a new episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta!
10:30pm: I need to get to bed early because I have a big estate sale in the morning, wish me luck!

What a clever post, Amanda! Milliken and Minnie love the Pooch Hotel. You had quite the day, but extremely productive. Perhaps I should take lessons from you on how to be ULTRA organized and productive. You RAWK!
Thank you! Great insights into your jam-packed day. You deserve those slippers, for sure.
You're so dang funny, Amanda.
So glad you were inspired by the speakers at our Sassy event yesterday. Next one is Nov. 18th. Though the topic is blogging and I think you already got that one down!
Can't wait to read about how the estate sale goes.
Thanks for the shout out!
