I have been receiving lots of calls from clients who need help getting their garages organized. This is the time of year when families are getting in and out of their garages to use their bikes, camping gear, and gardening supplies so they notice that their garage is not organized and functioning like it should be.
Last week I helped a family organize their garage in one 5 hour session. Many of the garages that I work in take 12-15 hours to organize so it fun to have a project that I could complete in one day. It helped to have both the husband and the wife outside working with me because we are able to make quick decisions on what needed to be stored, sold, or tossed. It was also nice for them to have me in the middle, helping to make the tough calls and sometimes be the “bad guy” telling them what should go and what should stay. During the session, we spent time sorting through the bins on the shelves and finding a home for everything so it would be easy for them to maintain. Here are some before and after photos…

Oh my gosh! That is one of the most organized garages I've seen! We cleaned our garage this weekend…but after seeing this I think we might have to clean and organize it again!
Where did the bikes go? That's the thing I'm trying to find a good home for in my garage – our bikes.
You could tell they were trying – they already had most of the stuff they needed!!
Very nice! Much more accessible! I have to reorganize my garage regularly! It never stays clutter free! They really did have a great start w/that storage unit in the back!
I know, I love the shelving unit they have on the back wall. I wish the shelves had more options to be adjusted though, they can be adjusted vertically but not horizontally. It would have been nice to put the skis and longer items on the shelves instead of on top.

Thanks, we mounted the bikes on the wall. Each garage I work in is different but the vertical mounts worked great. They are on a wall that isn't visible in the photos.

I have all the plastic bins. Wish I had those great garage shelves. OK- would probably help if I had a garage too, but I really like those shelves.
