Thank You, Advice From One Bride to Another…

I wanted to pass on some “thank you note” advice to all of the brides out there…

It is important to stay organized during your wedding process.  Many of the gifts you receive will arrive in the mail months and weeks prior to the wedding date.  If you are opening your gifts as they arrive (of course you are!) write thank you notes for each gift you open.  Keep a check list of the gifts received and note next to each gift when a thank you note is written. Writing thank you notes as the gifts arrive helps to spread out the labor of this task and prevents all of the notes from sounding the same. Once the wedding date comes and goes and you have opened all of the gifts received at the reception, it is time to mail out your thank you notes.  Never send a thank you note for a wedding gift before the wedding date!

The best advice I can give any bride is to enlist your groom to help you with the thank you notes.  Afterall, he is also on the receiving end of all of the wonderful new items you will receive from your guests.  It is more personal this way and it takes some of the responsibility off the bride.

My sister-in-law Kelly enlisted my brother Nick to help write thank you notes.  His note was so cute, I totally cracked up! This is what thank you notes should all be like…
