Each Sunday my sister Ashlie and I co-write a blog post about our favorite things called Sister Sister Sunday. Sister Sister Sunday is a great way for us to keep in touch every week and stay connected.   Each week our theme changes so make sure to visit us every Sunday to check out what we are into next!
My sister and I have had so much fun hosting Sister Sister Sunday Linky parties each week.  It has been great to see what you are all working on!  Last week we had the most linkers we have ever had which is so exciting!  This week we thought it would be fun to show you some of the recipes we have borrowed from your blogs.  Thanks for sharing!

It seems like I am always needing something to take to a party or potluck.  I usually always bring some kind of dessert to the get togethers, but twice this week I whipped up this Easy Mexican Dip for a couple of functions which required bringing a dish to pass.  It was submitted by one of our Sister Sister linkers.  I call it Jessi’s Layered Mexican Dip. It was a cinch to make and I loved that I had most of the ingredients on hand! Go ahead and try it, I am sure it will be a hit at your next party.
Jessi’s Layered Mexican Dip
Ingredients

1 16 oz. container of sour cream

1 packet of taco seasoning
1 can of refried beans
3 cups of Mexican Style Shredded Cheese
Shredded Lettuce
Chopped Tomatoes
Directions
Spread Refried Bean on bottom layer of plate or platter.  Next mix packet of taco seasoning with 16 oz. container of sour cream. Layer over top of beans. Sprinkle with shredded lettuce and then layer next with Mexican shredded cheese.  Top with chopped tomatoes.  Extra toppings such as olives, green chilies, or jalapenos may also be added.
Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!

I did have a S’more all summer so this week I decided to make these tasty S’more Brownies that Erin from Making Memories with Your Kids shared at one of our summer Sister Sister Sunday Linky Parties.  They turned out gooey and delicious, they definitely satisfied my craving for a S’more!

Ingredients
  • 1 box of brownie mix & the ingredients needed to make the brownies
  • 16 large marshmallows
  • 4 chocolate bars
  • 6 graham crackers

Instructions
  1. Make the brownie mix according to the package.
  2. Pour half of the batter in a 9 x 9 pan that you lined with tin foil and sprayed with non-stick spray.
  3. Cover the batter with graham crackers, then add chocolate bars, and then marshmallows.
  4. Now pour the remaining brownie batter over the top.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 – 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out fairly clean.
  6. Let cool completely, then pull out the foil and cut them on a cutting board. Enjoy!
