Each Sunday my sister Ashlie and I co-write a blog post about our favorite things called Sister Sister Sunday. Sister Sister Sunday is a great way for us to keep in touch every week and stay connected.   Each week our theme changes so make sure to visit us every Sunday to check out what we are into next.

Thank you so much for spreading the word about Sister Sister Sunday last week, we had a great party with lots of fun projects and new ideas.  To thank you we thought we would do something sweet ;) .  This week we are sharing 2 new recipes for sweet treats that will soon be your new favorites.  Enjoy!

Ashlie’s Recipe

If you are in a pinch and don’t have a lot of time to make an elaborate dessert for your next get together or potluck–give these tasty brownies a try. They are super easy and require just a few ingredients!  I decided to try them after seeing this recipe recently in blogland! I wish I could remember where…

Ingredients:
You will need your favorite brownie mix plus 3 Large Hershey’s Symphony candy bars…

Directions
Prepare brownies as stated on box.  Pour half of your batter into your 9X13 inch pan.  Next, lay your Hershey’s Symphony candy bars across your brownies.  It may be a tight fit, but that’s okay!  Pour the remainder of your brownie batter over your candy bar layer.  Using a spatula spread your batter so that your bars are covered.

Place in your oven and bake according to your brownie mix instructions.  Your brownies may take a bit longer.  Mine took about 3 minutes longer than usual.  Just keep an eye on them so they don’t get too crisp!
Let cool, cut and serve!  They are really rich and would be ideal served with a large glass of cold milk! The layer of chocolate, toffee, and almonds in the middle is delicious!
Mandy’s Recipe
When I was organizing my pantry after the holidays I realized I had everything to make 7 layer bars, (otherwise known as “Marge Bars” because my Grandma Orr loves to make them).  I love how quick these are to make! Yum!
Ingredients

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch-flavored chips
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (325 degrees F for glass baking pan). In small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and butter; mix well. Press crumb mixture firmly on bottom of 13×9-inch baking pan.

Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumb mixture. Layer evenly with remaining ingredients; press down firmly with fork.

Bake 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Chill if desired. Cut into bars or diamonds. Store covered at room temperature.
