I love these white bins made by Sterilite! They are available in a variety of sizes, they are stackable, they have a clean color palette that will match any room, and they are made out of a heavy duty plastic making them durable and easy to clean if needed.  I use them when I organize bathrooms, kitchens, and today I am going to share how I used them to transform a storage area in my client’s laundry room.

My client has a great laundry room with lots of storage including a closet with shelves and 2 cabinets. The closet has lots of shelving but the challenge with keeping items organized is finding the right product to keep things separated.  I started this project my measuring the shelves and shopping for products and then sorted everything into bins.

I labeled the bins and the shelves so items could easily be found and maintained.
Besides for the closet the laundry room also had lower cabinet storage.  Both sides looked like this…
Before

I lined the shelves and organized the cleaning products into large Sterilite bins on the bottom shelf an lined up larger appliances on the top shelf.

I repeated the process in the other cabinet…

In this case the system created with the bins is just as important as sorting and purging the items.  Is there a space in your home that could use a project like this?  Start by measuring your space and then take your measurements along with your measuring tape to Target, Walmart, or The Container Store and pick up some products and get organized!
