It is so important to make the most of the drawer space within your homes, especially in your kitchen and bathrooms. An organized drawer makes it easy to find things without having clutter all over your counter tops.
Recently I helped a client turn this junk drawer in her bathroom into a little piece of makeup heaven. I dumped all of the junk out of the drawer and sorted it into piles. I found a lot of jewelry, household items, and hair ties, all things that have homes somewhere else. After I put everything away the makeover began…
Here is what you need to do this at home…
- Shelf liner
- Velcro
- Little plastic bins
I wiped out the drawer and lined it with pretty shelf liner, then I used Velcro on the bottom of the white containers to keep them in place. Instead of having her makeup scattered all over the counter, it is now organized in a pretty little drawer. When I showed my client the finished drawer she couldn’t believe all of the makeup she had! She said having it all in one place will help her remember to wear it and use up what she has before buying more. Like I always say…it pays to be organized!
What a brilliant idea to use velcro to keep the little bins in place in your drawer. I'm sure your thinking – duh. But I wouldn't have thought of that. I hate that my bins move all over the place. Thank you!

I love using little bins for organizing my drawers, but mine aren't lined with pretty paper! :-] I really like your idea of the velcro too. In my kitchen drawers, I use the rubber shelf matting to keep my utensil bins from shifting around, and cut them to the size of the bin. You're like my organizing soul-mate, and I always enjoy reading your blogs, Amanda!
Love it! The pretty shelf liner and roomy drawer will certainly make her feel like a princess in her own home!
