My November Stitch Fix

My November Stitch Fix

Last night when I got home from work I had my monthly Stitch Fix package waiting for me.  My assistant Jennalynn was with me so she stayed late to help me style the looks to share with all of you.

I’ve been using the personal shopping service called  Stitch Fix for that last 3 months and I’m loving it.  It’s great to have a mystery package with goodies waiting at my doorstep.  Each month I ask for something different.  This month I asked for a few holiday looks and some layering pieces.  There is no commitment to buy anything, let me know if you have any questions about the process!

The first item was a burgundy and black silk top.  Stitch Fix suggested that I wear it with denim and heels or denim, flats, and a cardigan.  Here I am wearing it with denim and heels.  I like the shape of the top, I think it looks better in person than it does on camera.  Chris said I looked like a member of Star Trek, I guess this is the color combo of their uniform.  Who knew?  What do you think?

Here it is with a cardigan and flats, any opinions?

The next items is a green and black cardigan.  I has 3/4 sleeves and is really soft.  Stitch Fix suggested that I wear it with jeans and flats or with leggings and boots.  I like the look and the color combo is something I don’t have in my closet.  What do you think?

The next item is a black dress with silver sparkles.  This would be perfect for the holiday parties I will be attending in December.  I tried it with tights and glitter heels and with bare legs and strappy silver heels.  I like the idea but I think the fit is a little off.  The top seemed a little too big but the waist might be a little too small.

What do you think?  Is it a keeper?

The last item was a navy and turquoise scarf.  I love the color combination and the textures.  Jennalynn suggested I try it a few different ways with a white shirt.  We had a good laugh during these pictures…

Speaking of good laughs, I almost wet my pants during this little photo session.  I think my long days at work are starting to get to me!  Here are the out-takes from the shoot, enjoy!

I have 3 days to decide what to keep and what to send back.  Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think of this month’s Stitch Fix!

  1. The dress is too big & doesn’t do a thing for your cute figure. The tights are a keeper, the green sweater is a keeper. The burgundy shirt cute but pair it with a blazer it needs something with a collar because its kind of dressy. You can do a black blazer, camel color, a great shade of gray like acharcoal or a soft brown. I would get a sraight black dress that shows your shape of your body like a sweater dress that can be paired with tights or heels & dressed up or down according to your accessories.

    1. You are so right! The dress isn’t the right fit and either is the top. I decided that the cardigan is the best option this month, I think it’s the keeper!

  2. I agree with Lori on the black dress and really like the green sweater. I didn’t think the burgundy top was right either. The color seemed a little too harsh for you.

  3. I liked the green cardigan. I thought the burgundy top, but it didn’t wow me. I agree with the previous comment that a blazer would be better than a cardigan.

  4. The green sweater is very flattering on you! The other 2 I’m not fond of – I don’t think many could actually pull off those. The scarf is fine, only if it’s a good deal for purchasing. But the sweater is way cute!
