Last night my friend Roberta and I invited friends to my house for a Silpada Jewelry party. I love entertaining and enjoyed having all of the girls over for a fun night of shopping, wine, and snacks. After looking at our guest list of 60 women I decided not to stress over homemade appetizers and desserts, instead I was going to have a semi-homemade party and I am so glad I did. Roberta and I hit Costco with our shopping lists in hand and a budget in mind and kept the menu simple. We had cheese and crackers, veggies and hummus, cookies, chocolate covered almonds, my homemade cheesecakes, and Roberta’s homemade spinach dip.
Our friend Liz is a rep for Silpada and she has almost every piece in the collection. She set up shop in the living room and the wall of jewelry was amazing. Silpada specializes in hand crafted sterling silver. I ended up buying a great pounded silver bangle, a fun beaded bracelet, and a really cute ring. Almost everyone that stopped by found something too so that was fun. Here is a little taste of the party…
This is a my dining room, I love the big front window and the nook for my antique hutch.
We kept the food simple and replenished as more guests came and went.
I was going to buy a bunch of gourmet cheese but Roberta suggested we buy the pre-sliced from Costco. It was a good call on her part! The price was right and there was no prep work, gotta love that!
Roberta made this amazing spinach dip, I will have to have her post the recipe sometime soon.
When entertaining you can never go wrong with
Stacy’s pita chips, hummus, and fresh veggies!
I wanted one warm appetizer and keeping with the idea
of pre-made and simple I bought a box of Spanokopitas from Costco.
They were delicious!
I made my mini-cheesecakes a few weeks ago and froze them
for the event. I wanted something chocolate so we bought
Lacy’s cookies and chocolate covered almonds.
I had a drink station set up in my kitchen with wine, champagne,
mimosas, lemonade, and bottled water.
I just bought these turquoise cups at Crate and Barrel, they are so fun!
I don’t know if you have ever been to a Silpada jewelry party
but their stuff is fantastic! My friend Liz is a rep and she has
almost every piece in the collection. We all had fun playing dress up!
Here is a little action shot of my living room set up as a jewelry shop…
