A Midwest native, Amanda founded Kuzak’s Closet in 2004 in Michigan before eventually expanding into Chicago. The name originates from a large closet in her Chicago home office that once housed consignment pieces from her luxury clients, including designer clothing and fine antiques.

She expanded into Silicon Valley in 2009 when her husband began his career at Google, where he encouraged her to begin blogging. Her personal, hands-on approach to the day-to-day operations of a growing small business quickly resonated with clients and shoppers alike, helping to build a loyal and engaged following. In 2022, together they developed a custom shopping app, Shop Kuzak’s Closet.
