Meet Sisi!
Sisi’s vintage style paired with her photography talents is pure perfection. We shared a reel this week on Instagram capturing many of the looks that she is bringing to the Kuzak’s Closet Collective Pop-Up but this Q&A really gives you a deeper dive on where she finds her inspiration, enjoy!
How would you describe your style?
My style is whimsical and vintage at its core. I love to see fun patterns and colors in my clothing. I also enjoy mixing and matching styles– classic with modern, goth with elegant, masculine with feminine. Right now, the 1920’s are my favorite decade for fashion inspiration.
Where does your love for vintage come from?
I started getting into vintage fashion when I was in high school. After my grandmother’s passing, I helped my family to clean out her house. During this process, I became mesmerized by her closet– I loved looking at her clothes and imagining where she might have worn these beautiful garments. I value the stories and memories that vintage items hold. I started picking through my mom’s clothing too, to put together exciting and unique outfits that made me stand out from the crowd.
Where have you sourced your items?
A majority of the vintage I will be selling are pieces that I initially bought for myself to wear. I’ve been wearing vintage clothing since I was fifteen, and have gone through many style phases since then. Some garments still felt too special to part with, so I kept them around. I always love the opportunity to see my clothes find a renewed home!
What sort of items will you be bringing to the State Street Market?
I will bring a variety of vintage dresses, skirts, pants, and shoes. Some are designer garments like Marc Jacobs, Guess, and more. I will also have accessories such as belts, hats, and jewelry. There will be a rack of men’s clothing as well, including blazers, sport jackets, and some vintage boy scout uniforms!
Sisi’s booth will be in front of the State Street Market on Sunday October 27th, be sure to stop by and say hello! Until then you can connect with her on at Bogmoth on Instagram.
